Gameboy Color Overview II

So now I'm going to finish my Gamboy Color Overview.   One thing I really like about the Gameboy Color is the backward capability.  It can play the normal Gameboy cartridges (like the gray rectangular ones) in a Gameboy Color.  I really like this feature because its like having two systems in one and now I don't need to buy a Original Gameboy (Win, Win).

When I play a regular Gameboy game, after it says Gameboy and it makes that little Da Ding sound I can change the color palette.  You have to do it right after it dings otherwise it will just launch the game normally.  Anyway you can use a combination of the arrow keys and the A, B or no button to change the color.  There is a possibility of 12 different colors plus just the normal palette (so a total of 13).  See the attached picture for the extra color palettes.  I really like playing games at different colors.  I have probably beaten Super Mario Land 50 times just to see the ending in different colors.

So many final review...a 9.6/10.  Why 0.4 points short?  The Gameboy Advance can do all the Gameboy Color can and more. But don't get me wrong, the Gameboy Color is still a really good system and it has a feel unmatched by the Advance.

Collectors and casual gamers should have a Gameboy Color.  It is any easy pick up on eBay or even at a garage sale.  It is a great system and its no wonder why it has sold 118.7 million units worldwide.
